The Comox Valley Glacier Kings are excited to announce the commitment of local defenceman Jace Parsons for the upcoming VIJHL season, joining fellow newcomers Marko Udovicic and Dexter Jung as key additions to the roster.
A native of Courtenay, British Columbia, Parsons is a 2009-born right-shot defenceman who stands 6’0″ and weighs 182 pounds. He spent last season with the Okanagan Hockey Academy U17 Prep team, where he continued to establish himself as a reliable two-way defenceman capable of contributing at both ends of the ice.
Parsons also recently earned the opportunity to represent Team BC at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Regina, showcasing his abilities on the national stage against some of the country’s top Indigenous athletes.
Known for his strong skating, puck-moving ability, and well-rounded game, Parsons recorded 13 points in 26 games last season while consistently playing important minutes. His combination of skill, hockey IQ, and defensive awareness makes him a valuable addition to the Glacier Kings’ blue line.
Despite receiving interest and opportunities from several junior programs, Parsons ultimately chose to return home to Courtenay and continue his development with the Glacier Kings organization.
The Glacier Kings are proud to add another local product to the lineup and look forward to seeing Parsons make an impact in front of hometown fans this season.
